Course Description

The English at the Workplace for Professionals (EWP): Announcements and Briefings course introduces the participants to the English Language communicative skills required for them to make announcements and give briefings in front of an audience effectively and confidently in English. In this course, participants will learn about strategies to make announcements and give briefings. If you are interested in enhancing your making announcements and giving briefings skills in English, then this course is for you.

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this course, participants should be able to:

1. identify the structure of an announcement

2. make an announcement in English confidently

3. identify the stages in briefings and their functions

4. give briefings in English confidently
