This course focuses on explaining and applying principles of evaluation, adaptation and design to language materials. Participants will be exposed to principles of materials evaluation, differentiation, materials adaptation and materials design as part of the process with the emphasis on the four language skills. Specifically, participants will be able to apply these principles in developing ESL language learning materials. This course is offered to EL teachers from the primary and secondary levels.
Participants must complete these two courses:
CEFR Familiarisation course, and
Curriculum Induction course
evaluate speaking learning materials by applying the principles of materials evaluation
differentiate listening learning materials by applying the principles of materials differentiation
adapt reading learning materials by applying the principles of materials adaptation
design writing learning materials by applying the principles of materials design
This course will be delivered using Google Classroom.
