Gamification with Genially

Course Description

The webinar and micro-course focus on how Genially can be used for interactive and meaningful English language teaching and learning. Participants will be exposed to various ways they can optimize Genially in creating authentic learning materials that are accessible beyond the classroom boundaries. They will learn how to integrate various elements in Genially in sustaining learners' interest in ELT effectively.

Learning Outcomes

1. Identify ways Genially can be used in creating interactive ELT materials.

2. Create a quiz by using the gamification feature in Genially.

Delivery

• The live webinar will be presented using Microsoft Teams Live Event. You will be able to watch the event in Teams — desktop (Windows or Mac), web, or mobile. If you don't have Teams, you can also use a desktop browser (Chrome, Firefox, or Edge). Learn more about how to participate in a Teams Live Event here. 

• The follow-up micro course will be delivered using Google Classroom. In order to access Google Classroom, you must have an account. Learn how to create a new Google Classroom account or how to join a course here.  

• For MoE Malaysia participants, please use your moe-dl IDs to join using the class code provided. For non-MoE Malaysia participants, please use your personal Google IDs to join using the class code provided. 

• You can participate in the live webinar session (Microsoft Teams Live Event), or view the recorded session in the micro course (Google Classroom) after the live session is over. 

• You will need to complete all course requirements in the micro course (Google Classroom) in order to get your learning recognition in your IMPROVE Educator profile. Please sign up or learn more about it here.
