Course Description

This course, specially designed for receptionists and personal assistants, introduces participants to the English language skills required to communicate effectively on the telephone at the workplace. The course participants are introduced to and given practice in using various language functions for specific situations when on the telephone.


Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this course, participants should be able to do the following during a telephone conversation:

  1. greet and introduce themselves

  2. make enquiries and ask for clarification

  3. take down message

  4. end the conversation politely
