Course Description

This course aims to help you to develop your abilities and confidence in communicating and using English appropriately in diverse social interactions. The ability to speak English effortlessly in a variety of situations requires good pronunciation, a wide range of vocabulary, grammatical accuracy, and also the knowledge of what to say to whom and when. In short, proficiency does not only focus on the knowledge of the language but also the social and cultural norms, and the ability to respond appropriately in various situations. This course offers a range of activities that provide room for teachers to communicate the language effectively and with confidence.

1. Express opinions/ point of view fluently and spontaneously.

2. Produce clear, smoothly-flowing, well-structured descriptions.

3. Develop and organise ideas.

4. Propose adequate and relevant content on a specific topic.

5. Apply language functions appropriately.
