Course Description

This course focuses on the English Vocabulary Profile (EVP) and how teachers can use EVP to enhance their ability to use English effectively and appropriately in their daily work. Course participants will learn how EVP offers reliable information about which words (and importantly, which meanings of those words) and phrases are known and used by learners at each level of the CEFR. Ultimately, participants are expected to provide accurate examples of vocabulary items being taught at A1 - C2 levels of the CEFR.

Learning Outcomes

1. Understand what is the English Vocabulary Profile (EVP).

2. Demonstrate the ability to use the EVP to identify the words or phrases a learner can be expected to know at each level of the CEFR.

3. Use accurate examples of vocabulary items being taught at A1 - C2 levels of the CEFR.
